Total si nuestra democracia está dictada por minorías…

That’s the excuse I would say. But these measures, to many, including me, are arbitrary and only affect the poor and the rich, who are the ones in the government, both here and in the EU, remain unaffected. Incredible that they should force upon us austerity measures at this time!

It sounds like you’ve returned to a Spain you don’t recognize. It seems this kind of thing is happening all over the world as there is a widening gap between the rich in positions of power and the poor with little or no voice.

Yes! European Parliament, and President, are all very rich people, some of them from the nobility! And they are trying now to impose austerity measures! Here in Spain I do not trust the ministers, they are not qualified individuals, they just belong to the party that won and to the party that became the coalition partner. We are being ruled by a democracy of the minorities!

Tampoco está de más, gobierne quien gobierne, que se eviten dispendios que pagamos entre toda la ciudadanía. El gasto energético de los municipios es excesivo.
Me acuerdo de aquel anuncio de hace varios años que decía: «Ahorre energía. Aunque usted pueda pagarla, España no puede«.
