Abstract Art of Omnia Caelum Studios València

(Abstract in Blue, Red and Yellow» by FBC. Omnia Caelum Studios València)

Abstract art is something that has to be thought of very hard and very carefully as the reference must be very clear to the artist, although it is entirely in his head. So I have tried some abstract work and I am quite satisfied with it. Now I have chosen to make some, like this one, available as a fine art print, which you can get here.

And here is some more of my abstract art…

I watched your video and it asked the very same question I was thinking. What is the difference between abstract and figurative art? You have obviously put a lot of work into your art and have sold it. Would you consider yourself an artist, if you had achieved this level of knowledge and expertise, even you had not sold anything yet?

    1. Yes I would. Selling or not, becoming well known or famous, or not, having recognition or not, a person is an artist if they do art. If they engage in the search for meaning, expression or beauty, if they’ve been to conservatories or academies or not, they are still artists. So yes, I’ve sold my work but even if they were all piled into my studio, or attic, I would still consider myself an artist. And the single, and only difference between abstract and figurative art is the composition. If there are figures, it is figurative. Abstract art is supposed to remind you of nothing discernible in the natural world. Thank you Pat!

You’re welcome and I concur with your answer. I am a writer and poet for those same reasons.
