I agree with Malc. There are ways of dealing with this, but they do not sit well with the American people. Luckily, our three letter agencies don’t always tell the people what they are doing. All that aside, I proud of the Ukranian people who every day make the choice to stand and fight against aggression and imperialism.

Wonderful post Francis. One can not help but be sick to their stomach about Putin who clearly needs a booting out immediately. I agree with the commenter about thinking about World War II and how it started. If they keep moving at a fast clip who knows what might happen. I fell in love with the Ukrainian people after watching, «Winter on Fire,» which is an excellent documentary. It documents the people’s fight to be part of the European Union in late 2013. A big thanks to Valencia and to Poland who have taken in part of the one million people that have fled. I loved the verse you quoted Francis, if I may add two more which I feel are appropriate for everyone to remember.

I have watched that documentary, both of us, and we loved it and felt the same for the Ukrainian people. Our prayers are for Putin to be removed. Yes it was a very well made documentary that really followed the struggle. I saw a similar documentary a few years ago about the civil war in Liberia, again a popular struggle of the people against armed government militias that lasted, in this case, an entire summer. I cannot find it now on YouTube, but it was there 6 or 7 years ago. Love to you both Joni! Happy Sunday!
