Today I saw a report about an “artist” whose work is being sold online, as nft, at auctions and that has already made 300.000 US dollars.
But there is no such artist. The artist is AI! However the programmer and the human artist behind this fallacy talk about this artificial thing as if he was a real artist.
For me art remains strictly and absolutely within the realm of humans and only humans. No machine can make art. Just as no animal can make art.
We shouldn’t be fooled by these gimmicks or by their “creators” who tell us that their AI artist is advancing and developing his art.
In conclusion, we’ve many artists, human ones, as it should be. We need technology to advance health care and other industrial aspects, and not to meddle in the arts.

I saw that on the news last night and thought a fool and his money are soon parted. I have a picture painted by a harbor seal. Bright splashes of color with no foresight or pattern. They call it therapy for the animals. I like harbor seals so it is a fond souvenir of a day at an aquarium. Have a good weekend.

Artists so often do asinine things, passing them off as art, when in fact they are hardly even creative, just crass commercialism. Gimme a six year old with a new box of crayons and a pad of blank pages, and I’ll see some real art. If I’m sharp and watch long enough, some of these new artists will bring great please over the years. Thanks for these thoughts – thoughts with which I believe I am in agreement.

Oh my goodness that is wild, I too agree with Brad that is crazy. That is like comparing a robotic bee ( of which there are many kinds) with the real bees that pollinate our crops which God made. Very disappointing and yet I am not surprised to hear it. Art comes from the heart, soul, experiences and lots of hard work. Great pic. ❤️
