ABSTRACTION – REACTION: Abstract & Figurative Paintings by FBC

(«Self-Portrait 2008» by Francisco Bravo Cabrera. C.2021, All Rights Reserved)

Art is art because it is art…well because it is made by humans…and art can be figurative or abstract, but mostly either good or bad…

(Hope you’ve enjoyed it)

Cheers…

Wowser! Much of this I’d not seen before. Some quite different from what I’ve some to see ans FBC, like the introductory piece. And I got my taste of the B&W. Very well done, Sir.

    1. Thank you! Some of these images are from very old paintings back from the early days in Miami…

    1. Gracias Azurea, si, el color sigue siendo algo muy importante en el arte abstracta, igual que cuando unes lo abstracto con lo figurativo. Te agradezco mucho tu visita, y que pases feliz puente.

It is easier to define figurative and abstract art when an artwork is fully one or the other. The real trick is when a work contains elements of both. But there is great beauty in the mixing of the easily recognized and the more subtle references. Loved the music with this video, my friend!

This was so helpful in understanding the difference in the artwork. Your pieces are amazing and I love the self portrait. The video with the music (which I loved) was beautifully done.). Blessings and thank you for that lesson, very helpful. I love your ending statement. 🤗❤️ hugs to you both

    1. Thank you so very much Joni! I am so glad that you liked the video and the music. I truly believe that as an artist I’ve a responsibility to teach and to demonstrate about art, art history and the philosophy of art. The more we all know, the more we appreciate art. We send you our love and I really appreciate your support and kind words. Cheers my friends. All the best.

You are very welcome Francisco. I learned a lot from that video and appreciate that you care enough to take the time to educate those that love art but are not studied in the subject. You are most welcome and cheers to you too as well. Love ❤️ to you both 🤗❤️🎄🎄🥰✝️
