Lo bueno y lo malo en la abstraccion artistica – The Good and the Bad of Abstract Art

La abstracción…ah, la abstracción en el arte…cosa que casi todo el mundo confunde, pero para que no seáis vosotros los que lo hagáis, os recordare que la abstracción son aquellos cuadros que no tienen figuración alguna y que la composición aunque debe ser bien elaborada y relacionada a una referencia interna del pintor…no debe parecerse a nada en nuestro mundo natural. Se utilizan los colores y las formas geométricas para crear un cuadro que puede, o no, simbolizar muchas cosas para el que lo observe.

Abstract Art…oh abstract art!…it is still a form that many people confuse, but so that you won’t be one of them, I will remind you that Abstract Art is that art form that utilises absolutely no figuration, that should be created based upon an internal reference of the artist (in other words not just splashing, dripping or rubbing paint on canvas) and whose composition should not resemble anything in the natural world. Colours are used for their intensity and meaning as well as geometric forms. Abstract Art attempts to create in the observer a visual communication and it may or may not remind the observer of many things, or nothing at all…
