This is a historic photograph that I took back in 2016 when there was still a boardwalk that enhanced the beauty of the coastline of Miami Beach. Unfortunately the City Commission thought it would be better to tear it down and replace it with a «beach walk» of cement. Progress!

In any event, this image, here converted into a poster print, is now available in my gallery at Fine Art America and available to all at a very reasonable, and affordable price. Here is a lot more…

Casi nunca siento verdadera inspiración, ni tampoco mucho entusiasmo por un programa, pero tengo que admitir que este me ha llamado la atención grandemente. No se si es porque me ha hecho recordar los días de mi niñez cuando me recreaba con la serie «The Addams Family», o porque siempre me gustó el personaje de Wednesday Addams, o porque me guste ver como bailan, pero lo que se es que esta parte de la serie está fuera de serie…

Rarely do I ever feel inspiration or even much excitement about a series, but I have to admit that this one truly captured my attention big time. I don’t know if it was because it made me think of the days of my youth when I watched «The Addams Family», or because I always fancied the character of Wednesday Addams, or because I like to watch them dance, but what I do know is that this part of the series is phenomenal…

COMO SE COMPARA CON ESTE… HOW DOES IT COMPARE…

This is what Heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali, born Cassius Clay, 1942-2016 said before his military induction in 1967:

“Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go ten thousand miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights?

No, I am not going ten thousand miles from home to help murder and burn another poor nation simply to continue the domination of white slave masters of the darker people the world over. This is the day when such evils must come to an end. I have been warned that to take such a stand would put my prestige in jeopardy and could cause me to lose millions of dollars which should accrue to me as the champion.

But I have said it once and I will say it again. The real enemy of my people is right here. I will not disgrace my religion, my people or myself by becoming a tool to enslave those who are fighting for their own justice, freedom and equality…

If I thought the war was going to bring freedom and equality to 22 million of my people they wouldn’t have to draft me, I’d join tomorrow. But I either have to obey the laws of the land or the laws of Allah. I have nothing to lose by standing up for my beliefs. So I’ll go to jail. We’ve been in jail for four hundred years.”

Lo destaco porque quiero seguir con el tema del expresionismo y pronto os presentaré un vídeo de Edvard Munch, uno de los expresionistas que más me gusta…

I am bringing you a video about Paul Gauguin, the French post-Impressionist. However I consider him more of a symbolist that put a lot of expressionism in his paintings. I bring him to you because I want to continue with the topic of Expressionism. Soon I will publish a new video on Edvard Munch, one of my favourite expressionists…
