BIJOUTERIE (Begun on 19 AUG 2023, listening to The Crimson Jazz Trio)
Have you the power to defeat your destiny? Your ego’s still trapped in temples and your truths still fear the truth. When thorny lips filled with emptiness glide by your face, upon touching you they vanish seeking glory after having touched you.
Don’t go thinking you’re so wise ‘cause children never catch your lies. Don’t go begging God for light, for the most horrific fire that gives off the brightest light can burn out in an instant.
You can’t ride off into the sunset on a horse of silver white ‘cause your horse ain’t used to trotting over nothing but asphalt. So you’ll always be a charlatan at the tent of fortune tellers in the shabbiest of carnivals I’m betting.
Gold that glitters yellow, bright, chilling beers to cool the nights on the hottest days of August… And the nipples of your melon breasts resemble candy kisses while a spy sells her bijouterie to men who listen…

Art is always contemporary…
_A painting is not fully realized in an artist’s mind. It takes shape on the canvas and is not completed until the composition itself demands it…
No matter the style, the painter’s personality always becomes very observable in the painting. The artwork does not escape from its creator…_
Drawing is the magical part of art. The black line holds the power of a thousand colours and creates, develops, and conveys more ideas than those who only value paintings can imagine. In the end, a drawing is a painting with fewer elements…

Although they have so many great songs, in all (most) of their albums. Even on those not so popular, like Their Satanic Majesties Request, my fave is and since I heard it, has always been «Brown Sugar.«
«Brown Sugar» was released in April of 1971. I was beginning High School in the United States… It was from Sticky Fingers, a phenomenal album… It is in Rolling Stones (magazine) list of the 500 greatest rock and roll songs of all times… Take a listen…

Thanks be to God! The exhibition «Atrévete» turned out to be a marvel… Since we opened the doors on the afternoon of October 12th until we closed them on the night of the 22nd, we didn’t stop talking, sharing, and showing Francisco Bravo Cabrera’s art to over 1,700 museum visitors at the Sala d’Exposicions de Ciutat Vella in the heart of Valencia. It was a great success for us, the collective of Omnia Caelum Studios Valencia, and for the artist, Francisco Bravo Cabrera.
But it all started long before… That’s why I want to thank the labor of love and support from many dear friends who approached us and helped us greatly, such as: Our dearest friends Viktoriya and Pau, who are already part of OCS Valencia; as well as other friends of the heart like Joni and Scott, Luc and Susan; Seth and María; Alain and Mayra from La Perla de La Habana; The Reprografía BV staff from Valencia; Federico and María Elena from Rehabita Ruzafa; Café Tostao; Elena Gabarda from the Junta de Ciutat Vella and the City Council of Valencia… Of course, also to the hundreds and hundreds of visitors to our city and the many more who visited us from abroad…

From those early years in London (1962) to those great times in Barcelona and the world, touring, entertaining, singing and composing (2023), The Rolling Stones were, are and will remain the longest lasting rock band and the greatest rock and roll band in the world. (Of course I do not count The Beatles, my personal favourite, because John, George, Paul and Ringo did a lot more than just blues oriented rock and roll)… And that is not to say that the Rolling Stones did not venture out of rock and roll and the blues. They certainly did, but they always came back to their roots.
They have brought us some of the best rocking pieces that I have ever heard. I still rock to «Brown Sugar«, «Satisfaction«, Street Fighting Man«, «Honky Tonk Women» and so many others. And although I grew up (and still am) a Beatles fan, I always loved the Stones side by side with the four lads from Liverpool.
My favourite part of the Stones seven decades were the first years, perhaps up to Beggar’s Banquet. I really didn’t care too much for their «disco» days, except for «Waiting on a Friend» from 1981. When they came back to rock, in 1994 and released Voodoo Lounge I regained total interest in the band…
