#art, Uno nuevo para la serie de «El pueblo» – A New One for the Series «The People»

The artist represented by an actor with the painting «The People Who Believe»/All Rights Reserved)

The series started with «The People Who Think» in 2020 and already has four more editions, being «The People Who Dream»; «The People Who Dance»; «The People Who Fight» and «The People Who Believe». For me, series are interesting and serve to add continuity to the message that in this case is that «the people», in other words us, are more than an amorphous mass. We are the people and we go through many experiences, diversions, nightmares, and also blessings. This series continues…

#art, Mis apuntes de mis entradas – Notes From My Posts

The Italian painter, the nun, Sister Plautilla Nelli, was a great innovator as she was the first female artist to create a self-portrait, and she did so in front of the easel, something no artist had done but many did afterwards. They say she was self-taught, but that’s impossible; you learn from someone or something, not from nothing. She definitely broke the mold, and you have recognized it in the article… My interest is to disseminate, inform, entertain, and also emphasize the need to truly give space to the women artists who have existed and who deserve their rightful place in art history and in museums. I believe that history in general needs to be rewritten to make it more objective and truthful, as there is a lot of propaganda and many lies, and in art history, many are absent. I appreciate your participation because that’s how it should be; this is a trench to discuss and transmit ideas in a shared way and to spread art knowledge to more and more places…

#art, El arte no tiene pasado 3a parte y final – Art Has No Past Part 3 and final…

(«Eugenia» obra original de Francisco Bravo Cabrera/Derechos Reservados/All Rights Reserved)

+++

To have a past, you only need time to pass. But what is time? Temporality is something invented by man, perhaps because he looks in the mirror and sees himself aging…

But a painting does not age in the same way. Of course, it can suffer the damage of time, especially if it has not been properly cared for, but what was painted a thousand years ago still has the same value, nothing in the painting has aged, only the support on which it has been created…

That’s why I tell you that time does not pass for a painting, it passes around it. Time is for us, for art only the eternal present exists, since all art was contemporary art and reflects the values and reality of its time…

Somos abstractos divinos…
