¿Y esto pasa?

Here are two paintings from days of old. They are from my days in Miami, Fla… The first one goes back to 2005 and the second one to 2007. Both paintings are now in private collections in Europe but the images remain and the reasons I painted them as well remain. Here’s a little more about my Surreal-Expressionism and my JaZzArt.
LA VIOLINISTA

“La Violinista” is a prime example of my style, “Surreal-Expressionism”. The violinist as the every-woman-musician. She is faceless and nameless. Yet she exudes style and grace as well as a clear, and well defined, femininity. The Violinist is in motion, walking among those that look upon her and either understand her work or are perplexed by it. No one is indifferent to her as she moves. The painting, true to Surreal-Expressionism, has an abstract background where three flowers bloom and grow and form an acute triangle within the composition.
Moño Azul

An example of early Surreal-Expressionism which keeps up precisely with the precepts of JaZzArt. I was still researching both at the time, (2007), when «Moño Azul» was painted. It is done with acrylics on canvas. The background is abstract and filled with color. The principal part of the composition is the blue silhouette of a woman whose hair is combed into a bun. She is looking to the right side towards a very stylized, Egyptian-style flower. To the left of the main part of the composition one sees the more surreal aspect of the painting where a face seems to hover above a hand-drum, symbolizing the creation of music which rises, like black smoke from the drum.

Todas las imágenes estas reflejan partes de cuadros, pero por si solas se convierten en composiciones completas…

All of these images reflect parts of paintings, but by themselves they turn into complete compositions…

The image above is the framed print of this original work of «Art Digital» that I have just included in my Pixel gallery, but there are more ways you can have this print hanging on your wall… Pixels handles the entire transaction and ships to you quickly.
Choose original art as gifts this holiday season and if you want to find something good, different and still very much original, check out my fine art prints at Pixels/Fine Art America. I have selected several of the images of my original work and have allowed this company to convert them into high quality fine art prints in many forms and on many items. They are beautiful and quite affordable. Check out my gallery at Pixels here.
CHEERS

People talk about «inspiration» when they think of the process of creating art. I never think of such a thing. Perspiration is more likely to provide insight and ideas for a work of art than some superstitious belief in muses or such other elements designed to, supposedly, inspire. So I live in a very ancient city, actually it was built in the days of the Roman Empire. Here I find «inspiration» in many things, but mostly the gothic buildings…

Here is just one angle of the Micalet, the bell tower of the Cathedral of Valencia… It is truly amazing and inspiring…

Although I am not a landscape painter, I do learn and find many elements in architecture and in the natural world. Everything comes from the natural world that surrounds us. Even my abstract art takes root there and there hides its references. There is no such thing as an abstract, everything proceeds from something. Earth, life, the Universe, the «everything,» is a product of creativity, it is creation, not evolution. In art there is no such thing as evolution. There is always creation, development and spirit…

CHEERS…

GRACIAS…
