Ya lo hemos visto y sufrido…

Hoy me encuentro lejos de España pero cerca porque puedo enterarme de todo a través de la magia del internet. Pero debido a la falta de información importante e inteligente y a la porquería que trasmiten en el telediario y en casi todas las emisoras, cada dia me interesa menos saber lo que pasa en mi país. Lo que pasan por noticias no lo son, son más bien un atajo de mentiras, y de opiniones…de «ellos»…que nos cuelan y que tejen entre frases que parecen ser las de auténticos reportajes pero que nada que ver… Todos los días nos meten la misma cosa, que los ultra-derechistas estan aqui y allá y nunca falta tirarle una pulla a Israel y decir que el IDF (Fuerzas de defensa israelí) han asesinado algún pobre palestino. Como si en las guerras las bajas furan asesinados. Curiosamente nunca mencionan a los que asesinan los terroristas palestinos, y esos si son asesinatos.

Todo parece ser dirigido a ese publico mítico izquierdista…o progresista como ellos le llaman…que esta de acuerdo al ciento por ciento con el dogma socialista-comunista, que se en fin su religion. Y sí que es una religión porque para estar con ellos hay que tener su misma fe, leer su mismo libro santo y bajar la cabeza y aceptar todo lo ellos digan. Madre mía!

Pero aunque estos «progresistas» (progresan como en Cuba, Venezuela, Corea del Norte) se imaginan que todos estamos con ellos, se equivocan. Nosotros los europeos ya no nos tragamos ese anzuelo con esa vieja carnada. No somos peces. Fijaos quienes gobiernan las democracias de la UE:

Recuerdo que en mis años mozos me las daba de izquierdista o hasta de comunista, pero crecí, maduré, aprendí y dejé de pensar en los peces de colores. Los comunistas siembran y cultivan dictaduras, represión, atropellos a los derechos humanos y eso es histórico pues los dictadores mas atroces de la historia han sido comunistas todos. Construir el socialismo/comunismo es construir la miseria y la pobreza, mejor construyamos con el capitalismo y la verdadera democracia que es la única manera de vivir bien, en igualdad y en paz.

Crazy things happen during election times and that is great! Why you might ask? Because it demonstrates the wonderful thing that democracy is. In the US they are getting ready for elections for president and vice president and for the representatives in the congress. In other words they are about to elect a new government. That is great news and we wish the people of the US the best outcome.

Over here, being also very prone to democracy, sanity, and the «right way» of running a country (although…hmm…let me leave it there), we would love to see Kamala Harris win and the Democratic Party to also continue their majority in the Senate and perhaps gain more in the lower house of Congress.

We all saw what lunacy was when the «other guy» was in the White House for four years! Incredible! The world could not, and cannot, take that man seriously. And now allied with that guy who owns Tesla cars and Space X! They need to be sent back to wherever they crawled out from. One to South Florida, the other one, to who knows where…

So good luck US! We can only hope that the Democratic Party does all they can to stimulate their membership, which is greater than the Republican Party, get them out there to vote and elect a normal and saner government!

Estos dos grandes artistas, Schiele austriaco y Escher neerlandés, (anteriormente se decía holandés), marcaron pautas en el dibujo y creo que sus respectivas obras son parte muy importante de la historia del arte. Hay que conocerlos. Os urjo a que sigáis buscando mas de ellos.

These two great artists, Schiele from Austria and Escher from The Netherlands (previously known as Holland), created great advancements in illustration and drawing. I do believe that their respective works are very important to art history. We must get to know them and I urge you to seek out more of their work.

I must confess that I really do not know anything about this painter, but I am ready to find out and I will advise if I like him or if he goes into the list of non-favourites where he will be in the company of Frida Kahlo, Joan Miró, Banksy, Keith Haring, Basquiat, Warhol et al, (why name them all).

Cy Twombly was a United States artist born in Lexington, Virginia in 1928. He died in 2011 in Rome, Italy. His style was to use big canvases and spread paint on them in a seemingly random manner. I am already not liking him. The fact that his works hang in the MoMA and in Le Louvre really puzzles me and makes me realise that we must make room in museums for good artists and remove the mediocre ones.

Twombly studied art and was influenced greatly by Robert Rauschenberg and many of the other US abstract expressionists… In the 1950’s in New York he worked with many other abstract expressionists and with Jasper Johns. I would say that with all these references, his art can be classified as simplified abstractions.

Twombly’s 1964 exhibition at the Leo Castelli Gallery in New York, composed of nine panels titled Discourses on Commodus, from 1963, was described by artist/critic Donald Judd with these words: «There is nothing to see in these paintings.»

And that is quite enough for me. I agree one hundred percent with Donald Judd. Twombly definitely is on the list of artists I truly and completely do not like. Now it is your turn to tell me what you think of this «art».
