#art, #music, The Phenomenal Art of Tony Bennett (And I don’t mean music)

(Wikipedia)

Sadly we lost him last year, but I had already made this video in 2021, so I hope you enjoy it. I think he was one of those singers who really knew about art and who had actually studied art and was phenomenal at it. Hope you enjoy it.

Tony Bennett’s last performance at 95 years of age! What an inspiration!

#music, #art, Paul Paints…

Did anyone ever tell you that Paul McCartney painted? Yes, Macca himself, the ex-Beatle, the creator of Wings, that same guy! Yes! He is a painter! Well, since no one told you, I will…

#music, #art, Dibujos de John Lennon – Drawings by John Lennon

(Foto/Photo Cadena 100)

Some said he was the leader of The Beatles, I think Paul McCartney would argue with you about that, others that he was a spoiled slacker, a communist troublemaker, that his songs were crap, except for one, «Imagine» etcetera etcetera… I say he was something like a genius, a guy with a sense of humor and a life hard to understand, but with great creativity in his soul and a range of incredible artistic works (songs) in his not so long career. But well, we all know the songs of John Lennon when he was a Beatle and those he made later, but maybe it is not known that Lennon loved to draw. Here I bring you some of his drawings.

#music, The Art Work of Klaus Voorman

(Klaus Voorman/Foto-Photo Rock and Roll Detective)

This German musician (bassist), designer, and artist is best known for creating one of the most famous and exquisite album covers in the world, the cover of Revolver, the seventh studio album by The Beatles. Revolver was released on August 5, 1966, by EMI. This album marked the end of an era for The Beatles and the beginning of another. It demonstrates the band’s transition from being a group of pop hit makers to a collective of artists creating complex music with lyrics that analyzed the world and human relationships, with a greater emphasis on their complexities. The Beatles evolved into artists creating musical masterpieces, setting the stage for the next iconic album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band… But if you want to learn more about Klaus Voormann, I invite you to watch the following video…

#art, «What’s in a Name?

(Original Art Digital by Francisco Bravo Cabrera/All Rights Reserved)

Is a title really important?

Does a title lead you to see the work?

Does the title of a book lead you to want to read it?

Is a title like a name? Like your name?

Do you think titles are meaningful?

Do you think painters think a lot about the title they give to their work?

Do you like it when a painter titles his work «Untitled»?

I am curious and would like to know your replies, would you mind?

So… What would you title the above painting? (help me out as I cannot think of one that’s «good» and «meaningful»).

THANK YOU
