Sin duda alguna, Brian Wilson, creador de The Beach Boys, era un genio musical. Y cuando grabó el álbum Pet Sounds…salió el 16/05/1966, con producción, arreglos musicales y composiciones de Brian Wilson con Tony Asher, invitado para ayudar a escribir algunas de las letras de las canciones…Paul McCartney dijo que era, “el mejor disco de pop de todos los tiempos”. Además, George Martin, el productor de The Beatles, dijo, “Sgt. Pepper’s nunca habría existido sin el precedente de Pet Sounds«… Pero para que no dudéis que Brian Wilson era un autentico genio, os diré lo que han dicho algunos otros famosos de la música pop: Bob Dylan ha dicho, “Madre mía… ese oído. Debería donarlo al Smithsonian”; Neil Young, “Es como Mozart, Chopin o Beethoven. Su música perdurará eternamente”; Stevie Wonder, “Lo que hizo fue increíble”… Hay que despedirse de otro grande de la era de la buena música. Ha muerto Brian Wilson a la edad de 82 años. Brian nació en Inglewood, California en 1942… Una de las ultimas cosas que dijo fueron estas conmovedoras palabras: “Compasión es una palabra más profunda que amor. Para mí, el amor es un sentimiento amable, mientras que la compasión es una necesidad más urgente, un pequeño respiro aquí y allá para alguien que está pasando por una mala racha”… Paul McCartney ha dicho, sobre la muerte de Brian, “I loved him, and was privileged to be around his bright shining light for a little while. How we will continue without Brian Wilson, ‘God Only Knows.’” («Lo quería mucho y tuve la dicha de estar cerca de su estrella que tanto brillaba, pero como vamos a seguir sin él, eso solo lo sabe Dios»)… No diremos adios Brian, si no solo un hasta luego…

It should be donated to the Smithsonian”; Neil Young commented, “He’s like Mozart, Chopin, or Beethoven. His music will endure eternally”; Stevie Wonder declared, “What he did was incredible”… We must say goodbye to another great from the era of good music… Brian Wilson has passed away at the age of 82. Brian was born in Inglewood, California in 1942… One of the last things he said were these moving words: “Compassion is a word deeper than love. For me, love is a kind feeling, while compassion is a more urgent need, a little breath here and there for someone going through a rough patch”… Paul McCartney has said, about Brian’s death, “I loved him, and was privileged to be around his bright shining light for a little while. The people of the United States of America have had enough of a terrorist, authoritarian government headed, not by a president, but by an autocratic leader that is not governed by the Constitution or by the Rule of Law.

God help, strengthen and protect those in the streets of US cities fighting for freedom and Democracy while the federal government deploys the Marines against them. The US military is not there to be unleashed against civilians in the streets of America! As a prior member of US armed forces I can say that if I was given orders to act against American civilians, those orders I would not obey! The people’s voice will be heard and the only “illegals” are the thugs kidnapping people and deporting them!

Yo siempre pensé que era un pintor de caras… las caras que me imagino que existen, quizá en esta dimension o en otras… la vida llega a todas partes y todo vivo tiene cara… Aqui os muestro algunas hechas a través de los años y que son detalles de cuadros más grandes.

I always thought I was a painter of faces… The faces I imagine exist, either in this dimension or in others… Life reaches and exists in all places and everything alive has a face… Here I will show you some of the faces I have made throughout the years and of course, most of them are details from larger paintings.

The first look is always extended and strong,

searching inside for a look at the soul,

the soul that they hide in their watery eyes

in the faces I see passing by…

Where are the feelings, the thoughts, the emotions?

Hidden in wrinkles designed by the passing of years?

In the storms,

the soft breezes,

the kiss on the cheek,

on each cheek placing kisses

as a gentle reminder,

of a soothing refrain

or an old melody to the beat of the drops of the rain,

the rain that will wash away fears,

of the train that approaches,

and getting quite near

removing the shame and the guilt from your face,

as you finally run to get out of this place…

The second and third are the looks of regret,

the way the earth looks under water and wet,

when you stand on a pebble and dream

knowing life isn’t just what it seems…
