Poema: “Cada día”

CADA DÍA

Un poco de ti ,

otro de mí.

Se desprende

el sudor y el anís que bebimos,

no éramos libres.

Fue luna de miel sin champán.

No había libertad ante ese altar

donde nos llevó un militar,

capa de seda.

Un pedazo de ti,

quizá uno de mí,

sufriendo cada caricia.

De ti puede que quedan sombras,

de mí no queda ya nada.

#art, Arte inquietante – Art That’s Disturbing

+++

We should not think that art always has to be something beautiful, elegant, decorative, and worthy of our salon, because art is dialogue, and just like real-life conversations, some are pleasant while others are unsettling or disturbing…

#art, Abstracción acuarela y una pregunta – Watercolour Abstraction and A Question…

(«Azul marino»/Art Digital de/by Francisco Bravo Cabrera/Derechos Reservados/All Rights Reserved)

Art does not evolve. The concept of evolution, in other words the theory that says that animals have developed through some strange process called «natural selection», rubbish in my book, has been applied to many non-organic things, one is painting. Well my friends, I am here to tell you that art/painting/sculpture et al, does not evolve. Art is. All art was contemporary at one point and what it was at the time reflected and carried within it the spirit of the times. Present contemporary art did not «evolve» from the art of past generations. It is the art of the presente contemporary painters who paint with the spirit of our times. Those who do not, well, their art will mean and represent nothing…

Here’s today’s question: Do you believe art evolves?

#art, Pre-JaZzArT Drawings by Bodo Vespaciano

A beer and some potato crisps followed by some spicy shrimp with monkfish and Moros y Cristianos rice.

Now let’s talk about the pre-JaZzArT drawings I made in my studio in Miami, Florida (also surrounded by tremendous Cuban restaurants)… But instead of talking about the drawings, I’d rather show them to you (some).
