Poem: «Woman»

I have been shaken by so many women,

women of steel,

women of fire,

whose will is fulfilled

with their love and desire.

Desire to teach, to guide, to console,

they’ve stood firm in their tracks,

knowing full well their role.

From the woman who stood at the side

of the world’s greatest teacher,

to the one who reigned over an empire,

to the one who fought bravely for science,

to the one who caressed me when crying,

I’ve been moved,

and impressed,

I’ve been taught,

I’ve been blessed.

I’ve been shaken by so many women

and I know that forever I will.

      You’re very welcome Pat. All the best and a happy Sunday to you! At least you live in a state where the governor has a brain and is trying to resolve this issue for all the women of Michigan. I just saw her on ABC news and was quite impressed. Too bad Florida has Ron DeSantis… but I am just a tourist here now…

        Actually, Francisco, our Republican governor of Virginia, is trying to further restrict abortion from the end of the second trimester to 15 weeks–not as strict as many but I’m afraid this is only his first step.
