Images move through art and form the compositions that transmit the message from the heart of the artist.
I choose guided paranoia, which translates into the definition of Jazz as the leitmotif of my JaZzArT Phase III. It looks like Phase II but on a larger scale…

A beautiful composition, Francisco! I love that it still incorporates a touch of the abstract like Phase Two does. I was wondering about scale though. How does scale affect the artist’s ability to express?

Thank you very much Brad. Yes, the procedure is identical to Phase II but the size is different and that does change the dynamics of a painting. First, from the point of view of the spectator, bigger is better, being that more detail becomes obvious and the spectator feels like they can almost penetrate the painting. Secondly, it is a challenge to the artist to be able to fully appreciate and utilise the entirety of the surface in a coherent and definitive manner. So changing the dimensions of a canvas/paper does make a recognisable difference. All the best my friend.

Love the piece of art, the rest is over my head.

Thank you 😊 Pat! Happy Friday and all the best!

I certainly feel that as a spectator. Larger canvasses seem to pull me into the scene. I spend more time viewing them as I discern all the little details left for me to find.

You’re right, for sure.

Llevas la cadencia envolvente del jazz a tu pintura. Sin duda, se trata de una extraordinaria obra mi estimado Francisco.. Mis felicitaciones.

Interesting and a fave of mine of all your different styles, but the accompaniment has me fuzzled.

Thank you Espie, I am grateful and humbled. I do not understand about the accompaniment…

oh, you mean the short clip…that’s how I post the paintings on Instagram as well. Soon I will create a proper video for YouTube with it’s own original music. But too busy this week my friend. Had to cut some corners. Cheers.

Don’t, likely won’t Insta, Twirp, Bleep, Blurp, Facepage, and only when sent there by trusted correspondents, Uboob.

I only do Instagram Espie, not a clue as to what the others you mention are my friend…

Twitter, and its ilk, youtube and others. Developing deep disdain for what we have let social media become, how it corrupts, and destroys real social interaction. The harm it causes – bullying, censorship, scams, misinformation, and waste of valuable time. I parody the real media names, as much to ridicule as disguise. Lookit here, amigo, we have a weekend approaching. I hope you’ve accomplished much this week. Me? some gain, some loss. Perspective. Do well, sir!

I’m glad to hear you are accomplishing good things, I am trying to as well. Might not be on WP as much because I’ve work to do offline. Reference social media, I agree, it brings out the stupid in most but I like it and I disagree with censorship. People should be allowed to censor what they want as they choose but it should not be the government. As far as negative messages and influence on children, well that’s what parents/family is for, to educate, to censure, to guide and to punish if necessary. Have a great Friday my friend. We’re all very sad about Ucrania 🇺🇦 and angry that a man like Putin is breathing our air! All the best my friend!

I love it, Francisco! Pastel is beautiful; the muted tones seem to add a touch of flavour in the most mundane of things. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

I love this F, but as I’m not an artist, your explanation leaves me baffled, but does it matter if I really like it?
Me gustaLe gusta a 1 persona
Thank you Malc! And no, it doesn’t matter one bit. The only important thing about art is whether you like it or not. Peace my friend!

Thank you my friend. When John Lennon wrote ‘Imagine’, which has to be one of the most profound songs written during my lifetime, he was no doubt hoping that another monster like Putin wouldn’t turn up.
I intend to come back blogging this weekend – and with another post about The Beatles.

Definitely waiting for that one, and I agree with you reference “Imagine”. Looking forward to your return to blogging my friend! All the best!
