Love the video and still working through the difference between figurist and abstract. You have a really knack for writing, painting/drawing, and composing.

Thank you Pat, I am glad you liked it. And the only thing you need to know is that if a painting has recognisable elements, or figures, regardless of how distorted they may be, it is figurative. If you cannot see anything that can relate to reality, it is abstract. That is the rule. Simple, no? 😊

I just love the music Francis. It is interesting to learn more about not only the specifics about the different types of of paintings but to get more of a sense of you, the talented painter behind the work. It is fascinating to me that you would feel like an abstract piece is never truly finished even though they can be so beautiful. 🤗

Yes, at times it is difficult to know when the piece is finished and I like to wait to “hear” the painting “talk” to me because the reason and the message of the painting has to be clear and it has to communicate.
