Nació en 1924, proveniente de una familia adinerada y de habla francesa en El Cairo, Egipto. Se educó en colegios católicos franceses, muy alejada de la sociedad egipcia… Fue artista pintora, activista, feminista y portavoz del movimiento marxista-progresista-nacionalista de Egipto de las décadas de los 1940 y 1950. Bien se puede afirmar que fue pionera del movimiento de arte moderno en Egipto y también una de sus mas importantes artistas. Lo sabrás todo una vez que veas el vídeo.

She was born in 1924 in Cairo, Egypt to a wealthy French speaking family and was educated in Catholic French schools, separated from Egyptian society… She was an artist, painter, activist, feminist and spokeswoman for the Marxist-Progressive-Nationalistic Movement of Egypt during the 40’s and 50’s. We can well affirm that she was a pioneer of Egyptian modern art as well as one of the country’s most important artists. It’s all in the video once you see it.
