Indian Summer and learning to swim,
learning to harmonise a hymn to the wind.
Learning to kiss in the shade of a sculpture
that glorified gods and brave warriors that fell.
Trying to remember that night in Galicia
or was it in Saint-Émilion?
But now as I swim past the tramways and buses,
to the bar in the corner,
to the grey flower shop,
I listen for water and I look for a sailboat
in every street of the city
where fish like me roam…

Lovely poem and picture. Also a good wine- Saint-Émilion is most famous for its prestigious red wines, driven by Merlot. In fact, Saint-Émilion is the oldest active wine-producing appellation in the Bordeaux region, with a history dating back to the ancient Romans.
